August 21, 2025 (Fort Worth, TX) – TMJ, the leading women’s football agency in the world, is proud to announce its participation alongside 235 Sports Management and Club Tigres to broker Mexican forward and Tigres Femenil player Jacqueline Ovalle’s move to NWSL club Orlando Pride to become the biggest transfer in women’s football history.
This marks yet another historic moment in women’s football for TMJ, as the only agency to be involved in three of the Top 10 biggest transactions in women’s football history, including Racheal Kundananji’s transfer from CFF Madrid to Bay FC in 2024 and Maria Sánchez’s historic contract with the Houston Dash in 2023.
“TMJ was crucial in facilitating this historic deal. Their deep understanding of both Mexican and US football markets, extensive networks across Liga MX Femenil and NWSL, and expertise in cross-border transfers were invaluable,” shared Haley C. Carter, VP of Soccer Operations and Sporting Director for the Orlando Pride. “They navigated the complexities of this groundbreaking deal while understanding the unique challenges in women’s football, demonstrating the growing sophistication of representation as transfer fees increase.”
“Days like today really put into perspective how far the women’s game has come since I first became a women’s football agent over 10 years ago,” stated Co-CEO and Principal Agent, Guillermo Zamarripa. “For almost a decade I saw Sporting Directors reject any negotiation advancement that included any type of transfer fee component. Today, I can happily and unequivocally say – those years are long gone.”
“Tigres Femenil, Liga MX Femenil and Jackie Ovalle have accomplished something that will never be matched on the men’s side. It speaks volumes about the great momentum happening in Liga MX Femenil and the CONCACAF region overall.”
“To our partners during this transaction: Orlando Pride, Tigres Femenil and 235 Sports Management – thank you for trusting TMJ to broker such an historic transaction in the Women’s Game.”
TMJ’s portfolio of players in the NWSL includes US Soccer Women’s National Team player Mia Fishel who recently signed with Seattle Reign, USWNT and North Carolina Courage goalkeeper Casey Murphy, Mexican international Rebeca Bernal with the Washington Spirit, Venezuelan and Portland Thorns player Deyna Castellanos and dozens of others across 13 of the 14 NWSL clubs.
Since 2014, TMJ has grown from a small boutique agency to a leading global representation and multicultural marketing agency with athletes and sports projects spanning North and South America, Europe, Africa and Australia, including 29 athletes in the Women’s African Cup of Nations, six Women’s African Cup of Nations champions, and 12 athletes in the Copa America Femenina.
“These types of groundbreaking transactions fuel my desire to become a better agent and build a better Women’s Football agency,” stated Guillermo Zamarripa. “It is irrefutable proof that we are pushing the game forward and fulfilling our ultimate goal of improving the game for the most important people: the players.”
