January 7, 2026 (Fort Worth, TX) – TMJ is pleased to introduce its newly established Talent Management department to further enhance the structure that sustains the day-to-day operations provided by the agency’s FIFA-Licensed Agents to its vast portfolio of women footballers.
Ruth Esparza will lead the new Talent Management’s strategic direction and oversee all the department’s affairs, centralizing the process across three key divisions: the Americas, Europe and Africa.
Ruth Esparza takes on this promoted role with over 8 years of experience in women’s football at the professional level, having worked with the Mexican Football Federation (FMF) and having direct experience in the Liga MX Femenil with Club Puebla. Her experience with the FMF from a Logistics Coordinator turned full Operations Manager garnered her administrative oversight of key women’s football events for the FMF including the 2022 Women’s U20 World Cup, the 2023 Concacaf W Gold Cup Qualifiers as well as the 2024 Concacaf W Gold Cup. She has attended over 60 international matches and been part of over 10 international tours with the women’s youth and senior teams.
The experience Ruth has acquired throughout her life in women’s football also extends beyond the front office. Growing up as a footballer herself, Ruth went on to play at the collegiate level in Mexico with Tec de Monterrey in Puebla, serving as captain of the squad before heading to be part of the reserve teams in Olympique de Lyon in 2017.
“Being on this side of the game allows me to impact women’s football beyond the pitch, by improving the conditions in which players live, grow, and compete,” Ruth shared. “This role represents my commitment to caring for players, elevating standards, and building a better future for the next generations.”
Ruth has also secured a formal education within the soccer space, receiving a diploma in Sports Management from CONMEBOL as well as being a 2019 graduate of the Johan Cruyff Institute in Mexico.
She most recently served TMJ as a member of the Agent Hub department that will now evolve into Talent Management, orchestrating the first TMJ Agents Annual Convention in Morocco last year during the 2025 FIFA U17 Women’s World Cup.
“It’s been incredible to see Ruth’s impact in such a short period of time. We have full confidence in her to lead this new era of our Talent Management department,” stated Co-Founder, Co-CEO and Principal Agent for TMJ, Guillermo Zamarripa. “As we shift our attention to different strategic global markets, this will ensure our service levels remain cohesive and exceptional – a big priority for TMJ.”
