May 30, 2025 (Fort Worth, TX) – TMJ Athlete and Mexican National Team forward Diana Ordóñez transfers from the Houston Dash in the NWSL to Tigres UANL Femenil in the Liga MX Femenil.

Ordóñez signed with the Houston Dash in 2023 and appeared in 44 games for the team in the regular season, scoring eight goals and an additional two goals in 2024 during the NWSL x LIGA MX Femenil Summer Cup. She was also the first and only NWSL player to participate in the MLS All Stars Skills Challenge 2024.

Houston Dash acquired Diana following a trade with the North Carolina Courage prior to the 2023 NWSL Draft. Ordóñez scored 11 goals for the Courage in her rookie season. The Courage drafted Ordóñez with the sixth overall pick in the 2022 NWSL Draft.

“I’m incredibly thankful for my time with the Houston Dash and the NWSL. The city of Houston, its community and my teammates have meant so much to me,” Ordóñez said in a statement for the Houston Dash.

“Debuting as a professional in this country has been a dream come true, and I am grateful for every experience. I’m looking forward to what lies ahead.”

Ordóñez played college soccer at the University of Virginia and finished with 62 appearances. She scored 45 goals for the Cavaliers throughout her career, the third highest in program history.

Diana also represents the Mexican National Team and scored in her debut on April 9, 2022, in a victory over Anguilla and helped Mexico achieve a historic result in the group stages of the inaugural Concacaf W Gold Cup in 2024 where Mexico finished as semifinalist in the tournament.

“I’m so incredibly proud of what Diana has achieved in the NWSL,” stated Co-CEO, Founder and Principal Agent, Guillermo Zamarripa. “Through her faith, determination and dedication, she made a name for herself in a short amount of time here in the states and there’s no doubt in my mind that she will continue to grow and achieve great things in Mexico.”
