Our agency has been made aware of the horrific message that was sent to our TMJ Athlete Alex Chidiac earlier this week.
As an agency specializing in women’s football, it is the unfortunate reality that messages of those nature are the norm for thousands of women footballers around the world.
It is the responsibility of all individuals and companies within this industry, as well as the fans, to work towards protecting women and all members of the LGBTQ+ community from the violence and abuse they face online, in stadiums, and in their every day lives. Abuse and homophobia have no place in the Women’s Game, nor in the world.
At TMJ, we will continue to support Alex throughout this process to safeguard her integrity and safety, we will keep condemning such acts, and we will strive to raise awareness globally, through women’s football, so that our sport becomes a safe, equal, and respectful space.
