January 27, 2026 (Fort Worth, TX) – TMJ is delighted to announce that Colombia National Team Goalkeeper Luisa Fernanda Agudelo Morelo has signed with San Diego Wave FC ahead of the 2026 NWSL season.
“I’m so excited to be here and to take this next step with San Diego Wave FC. From my first conversations with the Club, the ambition, professionalism, and expectations to compete at the highest level were clear,” said Agudelo. “This feels like the right environment to continue growing while competing for championships. I’m proud to be here and ready to give everything for this team.”
One of South America’s rising stars, “La Mariposa” joins the Wave from Colombian giants Deportivo Cali, where she has won two Colombian titles and lead Cali to the Final of the 2025 Copa Libertadores Femenina.
On the international level, Luisa is a U17 World Cup runner-up with Colombia in 2022, was called up for two U17 World Cups, and made her debut with the Colombian Senior National Team a month before her 18th birthday during the SheBelieves Cup in February of 2025.

La jugadora TMJ se unirá a San Diego Wave para la temporada 2026 de la NWSL.
27 de enero de 2026 (Fort Worth, TX) – TMJ se complace en anunciar que la guardameta de la Selección Colombia, Luisa Fernanda Agudelo Morelo, ha firmado con San Diego Wave FC de cara a la temporada 2026 de la NWSL.
“Estoy muy emocionada de estar aquí y de dar este siguiente paso con San Diego Wave FC. Desde mis primeras conversaciones con el club, quedaron claras la ambición, el profesionalismo y las expectativas de competir al más alto nivel”, afirmó Agudelo. “Siento que este es el entorno ideal para seguir creciendo mientras lucho por títulos. Estoy orgullosa de estar aquí y lista para darlo todo por este equipo”.
Considerada una de las figuras emergentes del futbol sudamericano, “La Mariposa” llega al Wave procedente del histórico Deportivo Cali, donde conquistó dos títulos el la liga colombiana y fue pieza clave en el camino del club hacia la final de la Copa Libertadores Femenina 2025.
A nivel internacional, Luisa y la Selección Colombia fueron subcampeonas del Mundial Sub-17 de 2022. Ha sido convocada a dos Copas Mundiales Sub-17 y debutó con la Selección Colombia Mayor un mes antes de cumplir 18 años, durante la SheBelieves Cup en febrero de 2025.
