January 23, 2026 (Fort Worth, TX) – TMJ is pleased to announce that Sweden National Team Forward Evelyn Ijeh has signed with the North Carolina Courage ahead of the 2026 NWSL Season in the largest transfer in history for Serie A Femminile, the top women’s football division in Italy.

“I’m very excited to join North Carolina Courage and begin this new chapter of my career,” stated Evelyn. “The Courage is a club with a strong identity, high standards, and a history of competing at the highest level, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to be part of such an ambitious environment.”

“I’m looking forward to contributing both on and off the field, continuing to grow as a player, and working alongside the staff and my new teammates. I can’t wait to get started!”

A native of Malmö, Sweden, Evelyn was previously with AC Milan in Italy’s Serie A Femminile, joining the team in February 2024 on loan from Liga MX Femenil’s Tigres Femenil in Mexico.

The move was made permanent in July of 2024, with Evelyn scoring ten goals during the 2024-25 season for the Italian club, tying for fourth in the league’s goalscoring table. In twelve games played during the 2025-26 season, she has scored four goals in nine games, contributing to Milan’s race to be in UEFA Women’s Champions League berth.

On the international level, Evelyn has been a part of the Sweden National Team since 2018, playing at the U17, U19, and U23 levels before making her senior national team debut in 2024 against UEFA Nations League winners France. Evelyn has made six appearances with the senior national team, scoring two goals for the Swedish side.

“Evelyn’s career continues to go from strength to strength and this move only demonstrates the progress she continues to make,” share TMJ Senior Agent Chris Atkins. “It’s exciting to see how she will adapt to a new challenge at an ambitious outfit in the world’s most competitive league.”
