March 3, 2026 (Fort Worth, TX) – TMJ is excited to announce that Mexican National Team Striker Kiana Palacios has signed with Utah Royals to kick off the 2026 NWSL season.
Kiana joins Utah after playing with Club América Femenil for the past four years. The California native joined Club América in 2021. She quickly turned into one of the club’s main attacking forces, scoring over 80 goals to become the maximum leading goalscorer in Club América Femenil history and earning a Liga MX Femenil league title in the Clausura 2023 season.
“Kiana’s move to the NWSL reflects her competitive mindset and speaks volumes as to how she has approached her professional career since Day One,” shared Co-Founder, Co-CEO and Principal Agent, Guillermo Zamarripa.

Prior to her time with Club América, she was abroad in Europe, playing for Real Sociedad, scoring 13 goals with the Spanish club and helping the team secure its historic first Copa de la Reina title during the 2018-2019 season.
Palacios graduated from the University of California, Irvine and was a key figure of the women’s soccer team, allotting 24 goals for her side and becoming one of the Top 5 All-Time Leading Scorers for the school as well as a Big West regular season title.
Internationally, Kiana has represented the Mexican Women’s National Team at both the youth and senior level, participating in the 2015 Concacaf Women’s U-20 Championship and the 2016 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup. She joined the senior team in 2017 and was part of the 2023 Pan America Games team that won the country’s first ever gold medal in the tournament.

Kiana llega a Utah después de jugar por cuatro años para Club América Femenil. La originaria de California se unió al América en 2021. Rápidamente se convirtió en una de las piezas claves de la ofensiva del equipo, anotando más de 80 goles para convertirse en la máxima goleadora histórica del América Femenil y ganando un título de Liga MX Femenil en el torneo Clausura 2023.
Anteriormente jugó en Europa para la Real Sociedad, en donde anotó 13 goles y ayudó a que este club español ganara su primera Copa de la Reina de la historia, en la temporada 2018-2019.
Palacios se graduó de la Universidad de California, Irvine y fue pieza clave del equipo femenil de futbol, consiguiendo 24 goles a su cuenta y siendo parte del Top 5 de las máximas goleadoras históricas de dicha institución, así como un título de temporada regular del Big West.
Internacionalmente, Kiana ha representado a la Selección Mexicana Femenil en categorías menores y en la mayor, participando en el Campeonato Sub-20 Femenino de la Concacaf y en la Copa Mundial Sub-20 Femenina de la FIFA 2016. Recibio su primer llamado a la mayor en 2017 y fue parte de los Juegos Panamericanos 2023, en donde ganaron el primer oro histórico en futbol femenil para México en este torneo.
