July 21, 2026 (Boston, MA) – The Casey Murphy Goalkeeping Academy (CMGK) is pleased to announce that CMGK founder and Boston Legacy Goalkeeper Casey Murphy has generously provided a $15,000 donation to the Naples Soccer Academy through the US Soccer fund from the Equal Pay settlement.
Naples Soccer Academy (NSA) is a club-neutral 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, dedicated solely to the advancement of female youth soccer training and development in Southwest Florida. Their program delivers elite-level instruction led by current collegiate and professional female athletes, with a mission to empower young women both on and off the pitch.
NSA’s goal is to build an inclusive, supportive environment where female athletes are given the resources, opportunities, and leadership they deserve-regardless of their ability to pay.
“I can’t think of a better way to make use of a settlement that represents so much to women footballers and its significance to developing the next generation of athletes,” stated Casey Murphy.
“We’re grateful to Casey Murphy for investing in female athletes across Southwest Florida,” stated Jason Gruner, Executive Director of the Naples Soccer Academy. “Casey’s generosity will help expand access to elite soccer training and opportunity for more girls.”
“We became close with the president over the last few years, Jason Gruner, of Naples soccer Academy over the past few years and found a lot of shared values between CMGK and NSA,” shared CMGK Co-Founder Chris Mirabelli. “We believe this donation will help continue to expand their programming to more young girls across Florida.”
The Casey Murphy Goalkeeping academy was founded by Casey Murphy and her husband, Chris Mirabelli, as a resource for aspiring young soccer players to take ownership of their development and build confidence, holding camps in New Jersey, Austin, Texas, Boston and North Carolina reaching over 1,500 athletes to date.
“My journey as a professional soccer player was paved because of the wonderful experiences I was able to have in the academies I got to be a part of as a child,” Casey expressed. “I’m glad to do my part in helping the young girls at NSA have the chance to have their own journeys playing this incredible sport.”
About Casey Murphy
Born in Bridgewater, New Jersey, Casey played youth soccer at BSA and PDA, and attended Rutgers University, where she broke almost every goalkeeper record at the school, in the BIG 10 conference, and the NCAA.
On the international level, Casey has represented the United States Women’s National Team (USWNT) at various youth levels and was called up to the senior team for the first time in 2018. Since then, she has had 20 caps that resulted in 15 shutouts. She earned her first Olympic Gold Medal at the 2024 Paris Olympics.
On a club level, she has played for Montpellier in France, OL Reign, North Carolina Courage and currently is the starting goalkeeper for NWSL club Boston Legacy.
